Cars & Cigars

Owners and admirers of antique, classic, and other cool cars gather at the area around Dave’s Garage near the Parc Bistro, drink, schmooze, talk, listen to live music, and enjoy beautiful automobiles in Skippack. Pizza and other snacks, wine, and beer are offered for sale. Cigars are optional.

Attending the event is free and open to all. If you like, you can just enjoy the beautiful cars and lovely surroundings around Dave’s Garage and the Parc Bistro and talk to the car owners.

Bulls & Barrels Rodeo

Enjoy a night of fun and excitement with bull riding, barrel racing and mutton busting (a rodeo event for young children in which each participant tries to remain on the back of a sheep for as long as possible).

Tickets can be purchased online, at the gate, or at the Farm, Home, & Youth complex in Skippack during other events prior to the rodeo or at designated times to be announced on their website.

4th of July Parade and Fireworks

Celebrate Independence Day with a vibrant, community-based, patriotic parade through Skippack Village. Consider arriving early to secure a spot along the sidewalk. Fireworks take place at dusk at Palmer Park. There is also a barbecue at the Parc Bistro at 3 pm.

Farm, Home, & Youth Fair

An opportunity to learn more about the agricultural roots of Montgomery County. The Fair celebrates the culmination of the 4-H project year for Montgomery County 4-H members, who share their achievements with the public. The livestock and animal science 4-H members have their animals on display and answer questions. Other 4-H clubs also have their projects on display.

Living History Encampment

Living history event sponsored by the Skippack Historical Society at the beautiful, historic IndenHofen Farm. Free admission; donations for parking are appreciated.

Feature activities include Continental troops marching and firing muskets. Also enjoy demonstrations of apple butter making, colonial hearth cooking, blacksmithing, and more. There will be tours of historic IndenHofen house and barn. Enjoy a dulcimer concert. Visitors in the past have met both General George Washington and Betsy Ross. Refreshments are for sale at the event.
